Designed to enhance the B&M short shifter kit for 370Z, the SKYZ DESIGN Weighted Shift Extender raises the shift knob back up to the perfect height and adds just the right amount of weight for an optimal shift throw and engagement feel. This results in a more comfortable shift effort and reduces missed shifts.

This kit includes a Shift Boot Retainer to hold the shift boot snugly in place during all shifts and fits best with the Nismo Titanium Shift Knob.

Combined weight with SKYZ DESIGN Shift Extender + Shift Boot Retainer, and Nismo Titanium Shift Knob: 275 g.

Q: Why raise the height of a short shifter, doesn’t that negate having a short shifter installed?

A: Not quite! A true short shifter kit (like the B&M unit) doesn’t just lower the height of the shiftknob, it also raises the fulcrum point of the shift to reduce the overall shift throw length.

The B&M short shifter kit raises the fulcrum which is good for shortening the throw, but also lowers the shift knob too much, increasing shift effort while also causing the shift boot to get all scrunched up.

When paired with a B&M Kit, the SKYZ DESIGN Weighted Shift Extender provides the best of both worlds: Shorter shift throws than stock, with a more comfortable shifter height than the B&M kit on its own.

The optional Shift Boot Retainer will keep the boot in place without any gap for all gearshifts, for a clean interior look.

Q: Will this work with other Short Shifter Kits (e.g. TWM, Z1, etc…)

A: The SkyZ Design Weighted Shift Extender is compatible with other short shifter kits for the 370Z in theory, but is untested in terms of providing the optimal shift height and your mileage may vary (YMMV). For optimal functionality, pair with a B&M Short Shifter for 370Z.

Q: Will the Shift Boot Retainer work with other shiftknobs?

A: The SkyZ Design Shift Boot Retainer is compatible with many shiftknobs, but the fitment is untested in other setups and YMMV. For optimal functionality, pair with a Nismo Titanium Shift Knob.

Q: Will this product work in other cars?

A: This product is especially designed for the Nissan 370Z with a B&M Short Shifter Kit installed. It is compatible with any car that shares the same shifter thread sizing as the 370Z, but for any other setup, YMMV.
